SME Cybersecurity 2025

IT Security in Swiss SMEs and IT Service Providers

The study shows that despite the persistently high threat posed by cybercrime, Swiss SMEs are becoming increasingly uncertain about their own level of protection. Only around two-fifths of companies now feel well prepared for a cyberattack — compared to more than half in the previous year. Nearly one in five SMEs even considers its protection insufficient. Of particular concern is that, despite growing uncertainty, cybersecurity is losing priority within companies, and willingness to invest in protective measures continues to decline.

The findings underline how important it is for Swiss SMEs to actively review their security strategies and invest in targeted protective measures.
